Tweeting is how you put your ideas, links, pictures, and anything else you want on to your page! Your followers can see whatever you tweet. There's an array of things that you can do with tweets. Some of them are:
Text
The main body of a tweet is composed of text. You can write whatever you want, up to 140 characters.
Links
You can paste links into tweets. They will show up blue, and you can use them to direct people to interesting or useful sites!
Photos and Videos
There is a little camera-shaped button at the bottom left of the composing window. You can click it, and upload GIFS, pictures, and videos.
Location
There is a button on the bottom left side of the composing window, next to the photo button. Clicking this will allow to turn your location on and off,
giving the people the ability to see where you have posted from.
Tags
Entering a number sign, or hashtag, into the body of your tweet allows you to tag things. After you type the sign, you can enter any word to tag it. Tags allow for easy searching for tweets within a subject.
Mention People
By typing the "@" sign, directly followed by the name of a Twitter user, you can mention people right in the body of your tweet. This shows up in the person's "mentions" section, allowing them to see what you tweeted about or towards them.
Retweet, Favorite, Reply
You can do three things with tweets from other people: Retweet, favorite, and reply. Retweeting puts the person's tweet on your own "Me" page, and also shows up on you followers' home pages. The tweet will mention who you retweeted it from. Favoriting puts the tweet into your "Favorites," where you can see all of the tweets you have favorited. Finally, you can reply to a tweet. This allows you to respond to or expand on what was said in the tweet.
